What that link does

It opens your mail app with the subject filled in and a two-line template in the body: who you are, and what you are writing about. Fill those in and send it. You can delete the template, it is a prompt rather than a requirement.

The address itself is not printed on this page as text. It is encoded in the link, which keeps the lazier scrapers off it and costs you nothing. If your browser has no mail app set up, copy the link target instead of clicking it.

I read everything that arrives. I do not reply to everything, and I would rather say so here than leave you watching an inbox.

Worth writing about

A tool I should be running, especially if you built it. Tell me what it is for and what it replaces. I test things on real work rather than on a demo, so I will say honestly whether it fits what I do, and if it does not fit, that is a fast no rather than a slow silence.

Something wrong on this site. A dead link, a verdict that has gone stale, a screenshot that stopped looking like that site a year ago. Corrections get the quickest reply out of me, and you do not need to be polite about it.

Work that is actually interesting. Vetted takes a small number of clients, so a real problem with a real budget is a conversation worth having. Put the problem in the first paragraph.

Not worth writing about

Link exchanges, guest posts, and sponsored placements. A paid row in /tools would break the only thing that makes /tools worth reading, so the answer is no before you ask it, and it is still no the second time.

Cold pitches for services I did not ask about. Anything that opens by telling me it noticed my website. Requests to add a link to a page you have written on the same topic. None of these get a reply, and I am saying that here so you can spend the email somewhere better.

A screenshot of your site

If one of the screenshots in /sites is yours and you want it gone, you do not need to email me about it. /privacy has the route, it is a GitHub issue, and you do not have to explain why. That page is also where I say what this site collects, which is nothing.
